Pac-Man World Re-Pac Announced for Nintendo Switch: Classic Platformer Returns in Full Remake Bandai Namco has officially unveiled Pac-Man World Re-Pac, a comprehensive remake of the beloved classic Pac-Man World, during the latest Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase.

Originally launched for the PlayStation in 1999 to celebrate the iconic character’s 20th anniversary, Pac-Man World brought the famous yellow hero into the world of 3D platforming, winning fans across generations.

Now, more than two decades later, Pac-Man World is returning in an all-new, reimagined format for modern platforms, with the Nintendo Switch firmly in the spotlight. According to the official Nintendo press release, Pac-Man World Re-Pac faithfully recreates the original adventure where Pac-Man’s family is kidnapped, prompting him to embark on a daring journey to rescue them on Ghost Island.

Players will use familiar moves such as PAC-DOTS, the signature rev-roll, and the butt-bounce, as well as encounter the new addition of a powerful giant Pac-Man transformation.
