Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program Returns for Second Session in 2024

Nintendo has unveiled the return of its highly anticipated Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program, marking the second iteration of this initiative for the popular hybrid console.

This program, first introduced to Nintendo Switch players in late 2024, offers users a unique opportunity to engage directly with unreleased features and content through structured playtesting supervised by Nintendo.

The Playtest Program is limited to Nintendo Switch owners who meet specific qualifications.

Applicants must possess a registered Nintendo Account within one of the following regions: Japan, United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canada, Brazil, or Mexico.

In addition, participants must hold an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership prior to July 17, 03:00 p.m.

All applicants must also be at least 18 years old by July 17, 2024, 03:00 p.m.

Group applications do not increase the odds of selection; rather, all members of a group are either accepted or declined as a unit.

A unique aspect of the selection process is the regional difference in application handling.

According to Nintendo, applicants from Japan will be chosen through a randomized raffle in the event of high demand, while participants from all other eligible countries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
