Digital Sun's sequel Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has a confirmed digital launch date of 2 September and a physical release published by Silver Lining slated for 13 November for Switch 2, PS5, and PC.

The announcement outlines both a Standard Edition and a Collector's Edition for the physical product, with pre-orders available now.

According to the publisher, the Standard Edition will be offered from Silver Lining's website at a price of €49,99 or the regional equivalent, while the Collector's Edition is priced at €79,99.

The digital version is listed at $29.99 with a 10% pre-order discount currently reducing the price by $3 until launch.

A demo of Moonlighter 2 is also available for players who want an early gameplay sample.

Moonlighter 2 is positioned as an action-RPG with roguelike elements that continues the franchise's shopkeeping-and-dungeon-crawling loop.

The official description explains that players start with no money alongside other townsfolk in the village of Tresna, and must explore dangerous dungeons to recover relics, sell them, and reinvest in the community.

The sequel promises new weapons, armor, shop decorations, and systems aimed at restoring the village's fortunes.

Silver Lining has detailed the contents of the Collector's Edition, which include:

- Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault game (physical)

- Collector's Box

- Digital Artbook

- Three patches

- Holo sticker

- Diorama sticker sheets

- Poster

- Four postcards

- Metal coin

Both physical and digital versions are available for pre-order now.

The digital pre-order discount applies through launch and is reflected on participating storefronts, including the Nintendo eShop for Switch platforms and relevant PC storefronts.

For context, the original Moonlighter launched on Nintendo Switch in November 2018 and became a notable indie title on the platform through subsequent updates and downloadable content.

Moonlighter 2 broadens the series' reach by targeting current-generation consoles and PC with both digital and boxed releases.

Further publisher materials include a date-reveal trailer and screenshots intended to showcase gameplay and presentation ahead of the September and November release windows.
