Pokémon UNITE, the acclaimed strategic team battle game developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by The Pokémon Company, celebrates its 2nd Anniversary with a slate of substantial updates for players on Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.
Since its July 2021 launch, Pokémon UNITE has rapidly grown in popularity, amassing millions of downloads worldwide and remaining a staple among Pokémon fans due to its fast-paced, competitive gameplay.
The centerpiece of the anniversary update is the long-awaited arrival of the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo to Pokémon UNITE’s roster.
Players now have the opportunity to unlock a free Unite license for Mega Mewtwo X by participating in the ongoing Mewtwo’s Crystal Cave Challenge event.
With this license, Mewtwo can Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X during matches, unleashing swift and powerful attacks that can turn the tide of battle.
In a further treat to the community, the Unite license for Mega Mewtwo Y will become freely available later in mid-August, giving trainers a chance to experience both forms in competitive play.
Alongside Mewtwo’s debut, the new Panic Parade event introduces a fresh twist to the usual 5-on-5 format.
In Panic Parade, players team up to defend Tinkaton from waves of frenzied Pokémon attackers.
