Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Release Date Announced for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Nintendo has officially set the highly anticipated release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, confirming that the game will arrive on both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 platform on December 4th.

This significant announcement comes after years of speculation and eager waiting from fans of the legendary Metroid franchise.

Developed by Retro Studios, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond marks the latest chapter in the series and aims to deliver a new standard of atmospheric exploration and intense action on modern Nintendo hardware. In a recent update, Nintendo also revealed plans to launch a new amiibo lineup in conjunction with Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

The limited edition Sylux amiibo, modeled after the recurring antagonist character, will be released on the same day as the game, December 4th.

Ahead of this, fans can look forward to two other amiibo figures: one featuring the series protagonist, Samus, and another showcasing both Samus & Vi-O-La.

These two figures are scheduled for release on November 6th, giving collectors and fans an early opportunity to expand their amiibo collections before the official launch of the new game. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, Nintendo has also announced the release of a Metroid Prime 1-3 visual retrospective book.

Set to arrive on October 28th, the book will offer a comprehensive look back at the original Metroid Prime trilogy.
