Nintendo has officially announced the arrival of the beloved Nintendo 64 classic, Mario Golf, to the growing lineup of games available through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.

Developed by Camelot, Mario Golf will become accessible to subscribers on April 15, 2022, making it the latest addition to the nostalgic Nintendo 64: Nintendo Switch Online application available on the Nintendo Switch platform. Mario Golf, which originally debuted in the late 1990s, is renowned for blending arcade-style sports action with familiar Mushroom Kingdom characters.

Its introduction to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service allows both new and returning players to experience Camelot’s fan-favorite golfing adventure, which has remained a staple among classic sports titles. The Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online collection first launched in October 2021, offering a curated selection of nine retro games to the subscription service.

Titles in the initial wave included Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Sin and Punishment, Dr.

Mario 64, Mario Tennis 64, Operation: WinBack, and Yoshi’s Story.

Since then, the collection has expanded with more highly requested classics, adding Paper Mario, Banjo-Kazooie, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask ahead of Mario Golf’s inclusion. Nintendo Switch Online has become a cornerstone of Nintendo's digital ecosystem, reaching an impressive milestone of over 32 million subscribers worldwide.

There is also a Family Membership for £31.49 ($34.99) per year, enabling up to eight Nintendo Accounts within a family group to access all member benefits. For those seeking even more content, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack brings an elevated tier priced at £34.99 ($49.99) for an individual 12-month membership or £59.99 ($79.99) for a 12-month Family Membership.

Expansion Pack members receive access to the expanding Nintendo 64 library, select SEGA Genesis titles, and additional downloadable content. The ongoing addition of retro classics such as Mario Golf underscores Nintendo’s commitment to honoring its legacy while evolving the Switch experience.
