Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Switch 2 Edition Delayed: Dragami Games Cites Update Needs

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, the highly anticipated remaster of the cult classic action title developed by Dragami Games, has encountered a delay for its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.

Originally slated for release on March 26, 2026, this reimagined adventure starring Juliet Starling will now arrive at a later date, as announced by Dragami Games in a recent social media update.

First released in 2012, Lollipop Chainsaw captivated audiences with its stylized blend of zombie-slaying gameplay and eccentric storytelling.

With the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, Dragami Games aims to deliver a revitalized experience for both current Nintendo Switch owners and those planning to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo's next-generation hybrid console. According to Dragami Games, the postponement is necessary to ensure both the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and updates to the current Nintendo Switch release meet expectations.

In a formal statement, the studio explained, "Owing to the need for significant updates not only to the Nintendo Switch 2 version but also to the currently released Nintendo Switch version, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release.

We sincerely apologize to all fans awaiting this title, and we will announce the new release date as soon as preparations are complete." The delay affects both the standard Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and its accompanying "Upgrade Pack," which, as previously confirmed by Dragami in January, will be available as a paid release in select regions including Japan.

The Switch 2 version is set to feature a range of enhancements, including improved graphics, performance optimizations, and support for newer hardware features such as Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is part of Dragami Games' continued commitment to reviving fan-favorite titles for modern platforms.

While the new release date has yet to be finalized, fans can look forward to further updates on the Nintendo Switch eShop and Dragami Games' official channels.

The decision to prioritize quality and the player experience reflects an industry-wide emphasis on delivering polished products, especially on new hardware platforms like the Nintendo Switch 2. For now, the gaming community will have to wait a bit longer for Juliet Starling's return.

Stay tuned for the latest updates on Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP and all upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 releases.
