Dragami Games, renowned for reviving cult-classic titles, has officially postponed the release of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
Originally expected to hit the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26, 2026, the remastered hack-and-slash will now see its launch on May 28, 2026.
This highly anticipated release has seen several delays as Dragami Games works to refine both the upcoming Switch 2 edition and the existing Nintendo Switch version. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available both as a standalone product through the eShop and as a paid upgrade for owners of the original Nintendo Switch version.
Announced during a recent press statement, Dragami Games acknowledged the delay, stating, "Alongside our development for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, we identified the need for significant improvements in the current Nintendo Switch build.
As a result, we've reached the difficult decision to reschedule the launch to May 28, 2026." With this new date, related content releases are also being adjusted.
The free “Burlesque Bunny” costume, previously slated to debut in tandem with the Switch 2 edition, will now release on the same rescheduled date.
Dragami Games expressed regret for the inconvenience, offering a sincere apology to their dedicated fanbase eagerly awaiting the game and its updates. As part of its ongoing commitment to the community, Dragami Games shared an updated roadmap for upcoming content.
Winning costumes from the Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Costume Design Contest, originally set for rollout after "Burlesque Bunny," will see some changes in their release schedule.
The developer clarified that, although the Nintendo Switch versions must wait until after the Switch 2 Edition launch for these costumes, subsequent updates will still proceed for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. The next costume update features the "Die Hard Patriot" outfit—an eye-catching bikini and hot pants set inspired by the American flag.
This addition to Juliet’s wardrobe is confirmed for release in early March 2026 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Dragami Games explained that, because development efforts are centered on the Switch 2 Edition, Nintendo Switch users will receive new costumes only once the upgraded edition is released. Further fan-requested costumes, such as “Succubus Juliet” and “Kogal,” remain in active development.
Fans eager for news are encouraged to follow Dragami Games’ official X (formerly Twitter) account, @Dragami_Games, where future details and release dates will be shared as soon as available. This transparent communication reflects Dragami Games’ intent to keep fans informed while prioritizing game quality across platforms.
