Castlevania 40th Anniversary: Konami Announces 2027 Concert Series, 'Black & Red' Streaming, and Digital Sale

Konami is rolling out a multi-part celebration for Castlevania’s 40th anniversary, blending live concerts, a comprehensive archival release, and a broad digital sale. The long-running action franchise — best known for entries such as Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night — will see orchestra performances, a streaming release of an expansive box set, and discounted collections across digital storefronts including platforms that serve Nintendo Switch eShop users. Concert series and streaming archival release Konami announced a concert series launching in Spring 2027 in London, with subsequent dates planned for Tokyo and Los Angeles. The performances will feature live arrangements of music from across the series, including tracks from Rondo of Blood, Symphony of the Night and Order of Ecclesia. In the company’s announcement, Konami described the program as a celebration of the franchise’s iconic soundtracks and their enduring appeal to longtime fans. For fans unable to attend, Konami confirmed it will make the Castlevania Black & Red collection available on streaming services. Black & Red is presented as a 46-LP box set that encompasses nearly the entire Castlevania discography; Konami’s decision to upload the set to streaming platforms aims to give broader access to that catalog without requiring physical playback hardware. The boxed set carries a retail price of $549.99 for collectors. Digital sales and game releases Konami has also opened a digital sale on multiple storefronts, offering steep discounts on its compilations through October 8, 2026. Notable reductions include 80% off the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, 50% off the Dominus Collection, and 70% off the Advance Collection, with additional titles discounted up to 80% on participating stores. Separately, the original Castlevania has been made available for free on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store through October 24, 2026. Looking ahead, Konami lists Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse as a 2026 release, with a playable demo previously scheduled to go live on October 1st.
