The announcement was accompanied by a debut showcase that included an interview with creative director Anna Hollinrake, who walked through the game's concept and development.
According to Hollinrake, Crescent County is built around the idea of finding and defining a sense of home.
She explained that the team wanted players to experience a full range of activities — from high‑energy racing to quieter social interactions — and that the game places equal emphasis on character relationships and the joy of spending time with friends.
Hollinrake noted that motorbroom driving is intended to be social and fun rather than focused on time trials or leaderboards, emphasizing atmosphere and player connection over competitive metrics.
Hollinrake also described Crescent County as a passion project that traces back to 2017.
She said the game is rooted in elements of magical realism and informed by her own lived experience, and that partnering with Kinetic Publishing has helped the team accelerate development and bring the world of Mor to life.
