StreetPass Green Light Tour: AVAdventure Launches Bus Tour for Nintendo 3DS Fans
Nintendo 3DS owners have long embraced StreetPass, a beloved feature allowing users to exchange data and engage in multiplayer experiences simply by passing one another.
However, connecting with fellow StreetPass users can be challenging, especially in regions with a lower concentration of handheld gamers.
In response to this need for community engagement, AVAdventure Entertainment—a Virginia-based production company—has announced the 'Green Light Tour,' an innovative bus tour designed to unite 3DS enthusiasts across the northeastern United States.
StreetPass, first introduced with the launch of the Nintendo 3DS in 2011, has seen dedicated communities pop up worldwide.
While Nintendo has bolstered the experience with Nintendo Zone relay points at select retail locations, die-hard fans in less populated areas often face difficulties in accumulating StreetPass hits.
Recognizing the demand for stronger fan connections, AVAdventure Entertainment is set to roll out a unique event catered directly to this audience.
The Green Light Tour will depart from Washington D.C.
on March 21st, heading north to the iconic Nintendo World Store in New York City before returning to its starting point.
Along the route, the bus will make additional stops at Nintendo Zone locations, creating opportunities for riders and local StreetPass groups to meet, connect, and exchange data in person.
Participants can look forward to a lively itinerary, packed with multiplayer gaming tournaments, costume contests, and shared snacks—all designed to foster camaraderie among Nintendo 3DS owners.
Moreover, a dedicated videography team will join the journey, conducting interviews and capturing key moments for a documentary release scheduled for later in the summer.
In a transparent statement on the event’s crowdfunding campaign, AVAdventure Entertainment highlighted, 'Our goal is to create an unforgettable experience for Nintendo 3DS fans, uniting the community in a way that’s never been done before.' To further promote the event, exclusive Green Light Tour T-shirts will be available to supporters, with options open to both riders and backers unable to attend the physical journey.
The initiative’s Kickstarter campaign has raised around $215 towards its $7,000 goal, with thirty days remaining for interested fans to contribute or secure their seat on this unique Nintendo adventure.
At its core, the Green Light Tour exemplifies how community-driven events can amplify the magic of Nintendo handheld gaming, offering one-of-a-kind opportunities for connection, competition, and nostalgia.
For StreetPass devotees from Washington D.C.
to New York—and everywhere along the route—the Green Light Tour stands as an inspiring testament to the resourcefulness and passion found within the Nintendo 3DS community.
