Evercade is the UK-based company behind the cartridge-focused retro gaming platform first introduced in 2020, and its hardware lineup includes handhelds and home systems designed to deliver physical retro collections as an alternative to digital storefronts such as the Nintendo eShop.
Effective this month, Evercade cartridges will increase in the UK from £19.99 to £24.99 and in Europe from €24.99 to €29.99.
The HyperMegaTech Super Pocket handheld range, which is compatible with Evercade games, will rise in price from £49.99 to £59.99 in the UK and from €59.99 to €69.99 in Europe.
Blaze said the Evercade VS-R, EXP-R and the Evercade Alpha bartop arcade system are not affected by this update.
Blaze CEO Andrew Byatt explained that the company has been absorbing higher costs across its supply chain for an extended period but can no longer sustain those losses.
Byatt stated that the decision was not taken lightly and that pricing adjustments were necessary after prolonged pressure on manufacturing and logistics.
He added that changes to tariffs in the United States have allowed Blaze to keep US prices unchanged, with cartridges remaining at $29.99 and the Super Pocket at $69.99.
Byatt also highlighted broader supply-chain shifts affecting consumer electronics.
He noted industry reporting that DRAM and NAND flash prices have risen sharply during 2026, impacting memory and flash storage availability and pricing across devices.
As a result, Blaze is standardizing cartridge pricing so that there will be a single retail price for all Evercade cartridges, eliminating differences between standard and Giga Carts.
Blaze closed its statement by reaffirming its commitment to producing dedicated retro hardware and curated cartridge collections.
The company said it has several products and game releases planned and thanked supporters for their understanding as it navigates these market pressures.
For retailers and customers, the new UK and Europe pricing is in effect immediately.
Consumers outside those regions should note that US pricing has not changed due to recent tariff reductions referenced by the company.
