Fangamer Announces Hollow Knight: Silksong Physical Edition for Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series

Fangamer has announced new physical editions for Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong and the original Hollow Knight, bringing boxed copies and collector-style extras to multiple platforms.

The publisher’s announcement specifies platform availability, package contents and cartridge compatibility for Nintendo hardware alongside console releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

According to Fangamer’s release details, the Hollow Knight: Silksong physical edition will be released for Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series and will include a copy of the game, a reversible cover, a 32-page instruction manual and a 9×12-inch poster illustrated by artist Rubén Molina.

Fangamer said the cartridge will be playable on both Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch hardware, but the physical game will not include the upcoming Sea of Sorrow Expansion.

Fangamer also confirmed a new physical release of the original Hollow Knight for Switch 2.

That edition will likewise include a reversible cover, a 28-page manual and a 9×12-inch poster by Rubén Molina, and the cartridge is stated to be compatible with both Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Team Cherry developed Hollow Knight and announced Silksong as its follow-up; both titles have strong ties to the indie gaming community and to digital storefronts such as the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch platforms.

The original Hollow Knight launched on PC in 2017 and later released on Nintendo Switch, where it remains available digitally via the eShop.

Fangamer is known for producing physical and collector editions for indie games, typically pairing cartridge or disc releases with printed manuals, reversible covers and art prints.

This announcement continues that focus by bundling physical media with supplemental materials and artist-driven posters.

For readers tracking platform compatibility and collector details, Fangamer’s statement clarifies that the physical Silksong cartridge will work on both Switch 2 and the original Switch, while explicitly excluding the Sea of Sorrow Expansion from the boxed version.

Any further details on release dates, pricing or preorder windows were not provided in the announcement and should be confirmed through Fangamer’s official channels as they become available.
