This announcement means that fans who missed out on previous physical copies now have more ways to collect and experience the game, further cementing its status as a must-have for Sanrio enthusiasts and gamers alike. Initially launched as an Apple Arcade exclusive in 2023, Hello Kitty Island Adventure made its way to PC and Nintendo Switch on January 30, 2025.

The game quickly gained acclaim from both fans and critics for its charming take on island exploration and its endearing cast of Sanrio characters.

Its expanded availability has attracted a wider audience eager to take part in virtual island life. Expanding on this momentum, Sunblink is set to release two new physical editions on August 29, 2025.

The first is a reissue of the popular "Deluxe Edition," which includes exclusive in-game items and bonuses designed to enhance the player experience.

The Deluxe Edition will be available for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 on both Nintendo Switch and PS5, offering fans another opportunity to purchase a previously hard-to-find collector's item. Building on that, the publisher will also launch the "Gift Box Edition." This premium variant includes all content from the Deluxe Edition, but also adds a printed Critter and Fish guide, a set of collectible cards, a double-sided poster, a set of exclusive Tophat’s Memories art prints, and a specially designed collector’s box.

The Gift Box Edition will retail for $59.99 / £52.99 / €59.99, and will be available on both Nintendo Switch and PS5.

Notably, the release marks the game's debut on PS5—and the platform’s physical version is tied to this launch date. A Sunblink spokesperson shared that the new editions were created in direct response to fan demand, emphasizing the goal of helping Hello Kitty Island Adventure reach even more players around the world in both digital and tangible formats. Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s transition from Apple Arcade to multiple platforms illustrates the continued appeal of both the franchise and the Nintendo Switch, reaffirming Sunblink's commitment to delivering high-quality experiences for players.
