Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok Open Beta April 24–27 Ahead of Nintendo Switch 2 Launch

Cygames has confirmed an open beta for Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok running April 24–27, 2026, with preloading available from April 23 at 07:00 UTC.

The beta precedes the full launch of the game on Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for July 9, 2026, and will be available across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.

The test follows a closed beta held the previous month and expands regional support for broader participation.

Cygames describes the open beta as a practical testbed to let players experience the new Summon mechanic while helping validate network performance, overall game functionality, and surface issues before retail release.

The developer is also asking participants to complete a short survey after play sessions to gather player feedback.

Cygames warns that as development is ongoing, open beta content may differ from the final product and players may encounter bugs, connection problems, freezing, or crashes during the test.

How to join

- Download the open beta from your platform’s storefront once preloading opens on April 23, 2026 at 07:00 UTC.

- Open beta runs from April 24, 2026 at 07:00 UTC through April 27, 2026.

- A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for participation on Nintendo Switch 2; no PlayStation Plus subscription is required for PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 participation.

The Steam version requires the Steam client.

Players who installed the closed beta can join the open beta by applying the open beta update.

Playable content and progression

- Available modes: Tutorial Mode and Quest Mode (four quests available during the open beta).

- Online multiplayer is enabled for all Quest Mode content; local wireless play is supported on Switch 2.

- Quest Mode includes the three quests featured in the closed beta, with a newly added fourth quest unlocking the Summon mechanic after completing the initial three.

- Quest completion progress from closed beta save data will carry over, but gear and party composition will not.

New Summon mechanic (how it works)

- Equip summons from the main menu to make them usable in battle.

- Fill the shared summon gauge for the party by using link attacks or Skybound Arts.

- When the gauge is full, call a summon to unleash powerful effects in combat.

Cygames has also released an introductory movie for the title.

Coverage of today’s announcement was first reported by Gematsu.

With the open beta live across multiple platforms, players can test core systems and the Summon mechanic ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 release on July 9, 2026.
