Nintendo has confirmed a paid Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on Nintendo Switch, rolling out in three distinct waves over the next year and beyond.
The publisher released a reveal trailer alongside the announcement and confirmed the full pass price at $34.99 (US).
The Expansion Pass will be available through the Nintendo eShop and its wave content will not be sold separately.
The Expansion Pass is structured in three content waves.
The first wave, set to launch later today, adds four new weapons to the base game.
Nintendo has scheduled Wave 2 for the Holiday 2026 window and described it as including new wearable outfits and three additional allies named Aurora, Smyrnos and Jurah.
Wave 3 is planned for release in 2027 at an as-yet-unspecified date; Nintendo says this final wave will be the most substantial, featuring new story content spotlighting Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel and Anatolia, alongside additional allies, new classes and other gameplay additions.
In journalistic terms, Nintendo confirmed Wave 2 is slated for Holiday 2026 and indicated Wave 3 will arrive sometime in 2027 without providing a specific launch date.
The company also emphasized that purchasers must buy the full Expansion Pass to access all three waves, as the individual waves will not be offered for separate purchase.
This announcement adds to Nintendo’s ongoing strategy of post-launch support for its strategy and role-playing franchises on the Nintendo Switch.
The Fire Emblem franchise has a long history on Nintendo platforms, primarily developed by Intelligent Systems, and recent installments have increasingly used DLC passes to expand story, character and gameplay options after release.
Players interested in the Expansion Pass can find purchase and download details on the Nintendo eShop.
For fans tracking post-launch content, Nintendo’s reveal trailer provides the clearest early look at the new weapons, outfits and the returning cast members announced for the pass.
