Pokémon GO Now Allows Shiny Heart Trim Furfrou Transfer to Pokémon HOME

Pokémon GO has introduced a major update for dedicated collectors: the shiny variant of Heart Trim Furfrou, which is a Valentine's Day exclusive, can now be transferred from Pokémon GO into Pokémon HOME.

This announcement, which coincides with the start of the 2023 Valentine's Day event, marks the first time trainers are able to store their prized shiny Heart Trim Furfrou outside of the mobile game. First introduced in Pokémon X & Y for the Nintendo 3DS, Furfrou quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its customizable trims, including the Heart Trim, which features distinctive pink accents to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

While trainers have been able to catch and style Furfrou in previous Pokémon titles, the shiny versions have always been especially coveted.

In Pokémon GO, the shiny Heart Trim Furfrou was only made available during select events, debuting as part of the 2022 Fashion Week and returning exclusively for Valentine’s Day. This year, according to trusted source Serebii, the shiny Heart Trim Furfrou can finally be transferred into Pokémon HOME, Nintendo’s cross-platform storage and transfer service compatible with the Nintendo Switch and mobile apps.

Until now, collectors hoping to complete their shiny Pokédex in HOME had to wait, as the transfer of this unique form was previously restricted.

Now, starting with the 2023 Valentine's Day event, all shiny Furfrou forms—including the event-exclusive Heart Trim—can be safely stored and displayed alongside trainers’ growing digital collections. The Heart Trim Furfrou is notable for its vibrant design: a pink heart motif on the forehead and tail, complemented by fluffy pink ‘leg warmers’ and a reversed color palette for its shiny form, making it stand out even more.

Its cosmetic appeal has made it one of the top targets for shiny hunters and Pokémon completists alike. Niantic, the developer behind Pokémon GO, continues to engage players with time-limited events and unique transfer opportunities.
