Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23, 2026.

The publisher revealed the release ahead of a Nintendo Direct, confirming the package for Nintendo’s next-generation handheld and providing pricing and feature details.

According to Square Enix, the HD Remaster brings the two classic RPGs forward for both longtime fans and newcomers, with the company listing a July 23 release date for Nintendo Switch 2.

The title is priced at $49.99.

The announcement was accompanied by an official trailer highlighting the updated presentation.

In its statement, Square Enix summarized the narratives at the heart of the collection, noting that Final Fantasy X follows Tidus, a star blitzball player, as he travels with summoner Yuna to confront the world-ending threat Sin.

Final Fantasy X-2 continues the story two years after the Eternal Calm, with Yuna, Rikku, and Paine pursuing mysterious visions across Spira.

Square Enix also emphasized that players can expect more than 100 hours of combined gameplay across both titles on Nintendo Switch 2.
