Level-5’s latest RPG, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, has already made an impressive mark just weeks after launch.

The game, which released for Nintendo Switch and other platforms, surpassed a significant milestone by selling over 50,000 copies worldwide, according to an official statement from the developer.

This sales figure encompasses all platforms and reflects a strong start for the long-anticipated sequel in the Fantasy Life franchise. Launched in April 2025 after multiple delays, Fantasy Life i brings the beloved life-simulation and adventure series to a new generation of gamers.

Initially scheduled for release in 2023, the project experienced two major postponements.

In 2024, long-time producer Keiji Inafune departed, leading Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino to assume a more direct development role.

Originally positioned as a Nintendo-published title in the west, Fantasy Life i ultimately adopted a multiplatform release strategy. The commercial momentum is highlighted by the game’s remarkable performance on the Nintendo Switch.

In its launch week, the Deluxe Edition of Fantasy Life i climbed to the top of the Nintendo eShop charts, while the standard version consistently ranked among the top three best-selling downloads.

Level-5 shared news of this achievement on social media, accompanied by special artwork commemorating the sales milestone and thanking the player community for their support. "Surpassing 50,000 sales worldwide so soon after release is a testament to the dedication of both our development team and the passionate Fantasy Life fans around the world," Level-5 expressed via their official channels.
