Level-5, a renowned developer known for titles such as Professor Layton and Yo-kai Watch, has revealed significant updates for its latest adventure RPG, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.

Released for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, this charming life simulation game has captivated global audiences and recently achieved a major sales milestone. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, which debuted earlier this year, has now sold over 1.2 million units worldwide across all platforms.

This substantial figure underlines the enduring popularity of Level-5’s creative vision and solidifies the game's status as a commercial success both in Japan and internationally. In celebration of this achievement, Level-5 has announced the upcoming launch of the Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time physical edition, specifically tailored for the Nintendo Switch 2 console.

Japanese fans can mark their calendars, as the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is set to arrive in stores on August 7, 2025.

While availability details for international markets are yet to be confirmed, Level-5 stated that information regarding import pre-orders will be provided closer to release. Expanding the game’s features, Level-5 also confirmed the addition of a new Photo Mode, scheduled to be released as a free update later this month.

This new mode will empower players to capture memorable moments within the game using advanced photo tools.

Players will gain control over pose settings, the ability to include or exclude Buddies (in-game companions), as well as manipulate various camera angles for more creative and personalized screenshots.

The studio emphasized that this update is designed to encourage creativity and help fans share their unique in-game experiences with the growing Fantasy Life community. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is currently available for both the Nintendo Switch and the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 platforms via the Nintendo eShop.

As Level-5 continues to support its expanding player base with new features and content, the game remains a standout title in the simulation RPG genre.
