Nintendo's latest flagship, the Nintendo Switch 2, has once again secured its position at the top of the Japanese hardware sales charts, according to new data released by industry publication Famitsu.
This report tracks weekly sales across major gaming consoles, highlighting ongoing consumer demand and the company’s sustained dominance within the Japanese market.
For the most recent reporting period, the Nintendo Switch 2 sold 90,410 units across Japan, continuing its impressive run as the market leader.
Not far behind, the Nintendo Switch OLED and Nintendo Switch Lite models registered 13,270 and 7,675 units sold, respectively.
While PlayStation 5 hardware remained competitive, its standard edition sold 4,254 units this week, with the PS5 Pro trailing at 2,660 units and the PS5 Digital Edition posting sales of 777 units.
The Xbox Series lineup saw more modest figures, with the Xbox Series X Digital Edition accounting for 246 units sold, alongside 183 units for the standard Xbox Series X and 58 units for the Xbox Series S.
The veteran PlayStation 4 held on with 16 units sold.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A continued its remarkable run, booking 54,904 additional physical units for a total surpassing 1.2 million units across the platform.
Mario Kart World on Switch 2 added another 54,413 units to a total that now exceeds 2 million units sold.
Other standout titles included Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake, which achieved strong debuts across Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 hardware, and Donkey Kong Bananza for the Switch 2 with an established total over 370,000 units to date.
Classic evergreen titles, such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, remained steady sellers, with 5,422 more units sold this week, pushing its lifetime total in Japan to over 8.2 million units.
