Blaze Entertainment Delays Neo Geo Arcade 2 & 3 Compilations in UK and Europe Due to Packaging Issue

Blaze Entertainment, known for revitalizing classic gaming experiences with its Evercade line of retro-focused hardware, has announced an updated release schedule for its upcoming Neo Geo Arcade 2 and Neo Geo Arcade 3 game compilation cartridges.

Originally slated to launch in October 2025 across all markets, these highly anticipated collections will now arrive for UK and European customers on November 28, 2025—a one-month delay attributed to a recently discovered packaging issue. The Evercade family of systems, produced by Blaze Entertainment, has established a loyal following among retro gaming enthusiasts by offering officially licensed multi-game cartridges featuring classic arcade and console titles.

The new Neo Geo Arcade 2 and 3 compilations continue this tradition, each featuring six renowned Neo Geo titles in physical format—an appealing proposition for collectors and fans. In an official update published on the company’s blog, Blaze Entertainment explained the reasons behind the change in launch plans for the UK and Europe.

The company stated that it encountered an unexpected problem with the packaging for the upcoming compilations, with materials not meeting the company’s strict quality standards.

Coupled with a recent and unforeseen delay in freight shipments, Blaze determined that an extra month was needed to address the issue and ensure the products meet customer expectations. The company confirmed it has already begun efforts to resolve the packaging problem and is actively working to repackage affected stock in time for the revised release date.

Blaze explained in its update, "We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and look forward to seeing all of you enjoy these great arcade collections." Orders placed with UK retail partner Funstock are included in the revised timeline, while customers in North America and Canada will see no change—the collections remain on track for their original October 30, 2025 release in those territories. Each compilation will be priced at £19.99 in the UK, €24.99 in Europe, and $29.99 in North America.

Neo Geo Arcade 2 features classics such as Art of Fighting 2, Crossed Swords, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Metal Slug 2, Ninja Commando, and Sengoku 2.

Meanwhile, Neo Geo Arcade 3 offers Ghost Pilots, Metal Slug 3, Samurai Shodown II, Super Sidekicks, The King of Fighters ’97, and Twinkle Star Sprites. For retro gaming fans and Evercade collectors in the UK and Europe, the short delay may be disappointing, but it underscores Blaze Entertainment’s commitment to quality.

With the company actively addressing the packaging concerns, the Neo Geo Arcade compilations remain on track to deliver some of the most iconic arcade experiences on the Evercade platform by late November.
