Description

Dragon Ball fans have much to celebrate as Bandai Namco officially announces that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot – Daima – Adventure through the Demon Realm Pack Part 2 will launch between January and March 2026 on Nintendo Switch.

This news arrives on the heels of the final episode of the anime series Dragon Ball Daima, marking a significant moment for the franchise and its dedicated community. Following the conclusion of Dragon Ball Daima, Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the upcoming DLC, offering a sneak peek into the adventures awaiting players.

The first part of the Daima – Adventure through the Demon Realm Pack is scheduled for release in Summer 2025, specifically between July and September, with the second part continuing the story in early 2026.

This new content will be available as part of a DLC bundle through the Switch eShop, retailing for $34.99 USD, and will include special bonus items for purchasers.

Additionally, players new to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot can try a free demo currently available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. The Daima DLC follows the narrative arc of the anime, where Goku and his friends are transformed into children by the Supreme King Gomah and embark on a journey through the mysterious Demon Realm.

In a statement, Bandai Namco described the DLC as an opportunity for players to "embark on an all-new adventure, exploring the Third Demon Realm complete with floating islands and enigmatic Skyseed plants." Players will take on the role of Goku, assisted by characters like Supreme Kai, Glorio, and Panzy, reliving the events of Dragon Ball Daima.

Supporting cast members aid the journey through support skills and the Z combo system, while unique gameplay features such as the Power Pole and a mini Super Saiyan form for Goku debut exclusively in this downloadable content. These fresh updates to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot arrive one year after the passing of legendary series creator Akira Toriyama, who also contributed his artistry to beloved game franchises including Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger.

The enduring legacy of Toriyama can be felt not only in the continued success of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot but also in titles like Dragon Ball: The Breakers, which recently kicked off its eighth season on Nintendo Switch, introducing Golden Frieza as a new raider character. With remarkable sales figures, critical acclaim, and a steady flow of new content, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on Nintendo Switch continues to engage franchise enthusiasts and RPG fans alike.

As anticipation builds for the release of the Daima DLC packs, both newcomers and seasoned players can look forward to immersive adventures and thoughtful nods to the Dragon Ball universe, ensuring the ongoing popularity of the game on the Switch platform.
