Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, the latest competitive release from Nintendo, is adding fresh weekly challenges inspired by beloved classic NES games.

Available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, this fast-paced title invites players to test and improve their speedrunning skills while competing both locally and online.

This week, the new challenges include 'Lookie, Tanooki!' from Super Mario Bros.

3, 'Fairy Finder' from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, 'Harp on It' from Kid Icarus, 'Take Heart' from The Legend of Zelda, and 'Eye in the Sky' from Kirby's Adventure.

These time-limited events will run until March 31 at 1:59 a.m.

PT, giving competitors a narrow window to showcase their skills and climb the leaderboards. Nintendo encourages all participants to check their final placements from the previous week within the game.

Players can review how they ranked globally, as well as see how they fared against others sharing their birth year.

Additionally, replays of the top performances in each challenge are available, providing valuable insight into strategies and techniques to shave seconds off personal bests.
