The Witcher 3 Remastered has drawn fresh attention on Nintendo platforms after its recent release, and CD Projekt Red has indicated that fixes for the Switch 2 build are on the way.

The remaster — developed by CD Projekt Red — is available as a free upgrade for existing Nintendo Switch owners, while new buyers face a retail price of $59.99 / £45.99.

Platform owners and industry observers are watching closely as the developer addresses launch issues across multiple systems.

Early reports flagged a number of technical problems in the remaster’s launch builds.

CD Projekt Red has already rolled out a patch and additional hotfixes on other platforms that addressed save and load stability, audio problems, in-game lighting adjustments, and a range of gameplay and UI bugs.

For the Nintendo releases, community reporting and direct contact with the developer have surfaced specific concerns about handheld visuals on Switch hardware and the new-generation Switch 2.

A representative from YouTube channel SwitchUp told CD Projekt Red that the handheld presentation on the Switch 2 appears vivid but lacks crispness and can look blurry in portable mode.

SwitchUp relayed that CD Projekt Red acknowledged the issue and plans to issue a patch to improve handheld clarity.

The channel cautioned that the developer is likely managing a large volume of bug reports and that Nintendo’s standard approval process for patches can add additional delay.

CD Projekt Red’s global community and social media director, Marcin Momot, has confirmed the team is investigating an overactive bloom effect that is affecting the visual presentation on multiple platforms.

Momot said the studio is aiming to include adjustments for bloom in the next update but did not provide a firm release date for that patch.

For players encountering problems on the Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3 Remastered, the current guidance is to monitor official CD Projekt Red channels and the Nintendo eShop for patch notes and update availability.

Given that the developer has already shipped fixes for other systems, users can expect targeted updates for Nintendo hardware, subject to the usual testing and certification timeline enforced by Nintendo.
