The remaster will launch across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29, 2026, and Switch 1 owners who previously purchased The Witcher 3 will receive the Switch 2 remaster as a free upgrade regardless of whether their original copy is digital or physical.
Technical targets and performance
During the presentation, CD Projekt Red confirmed the Switch 2 port will target 1080p in docked mode and 720p in handheld.
The developer stated the game will run in the 30–40 fps range, with handheld mode leveraging variable refresh rate (VRR) to stabilize output and docked mode able to use 120 Hz output on supported displays.
