The patch delivers a comprehensive overhaul of the game’s latter stages alongside performance optimizations targeted at Nintendo’s newest hardware.
Version 2.0 reworks all 17 levels with fresh puzzle mechanics.
The developer describes the additions as varied in tone and design, with stages that draw on the spectacle of classic Japanese game shows, levels built around traditional logic puzzles, and chaotic tag-style encounters featuring elemental creatures.
According to Next Studios, the changes include mirror-rotation puzzles, maze navigation, and platform-balancing sequences designed to refresh the existing level set and provide a definitive finale to the Bipeds’ journey.
Next Studios told players it has actively collected and reviewed community feedback to address technical issues and gameplay concerns.
The team asked players to post reproducible reports in the game’s discussion channels to help developers investigate specific bugs, and said they focused fixes on disruptive problems such as camera angles, level geometry, and certain gameplay mechanics.
The studio reported that the update removes a number of bugs and restores stability to areas that were causing players to quit due to technical issues.
On the co-op front, Next Studios reiterated that local and online cooperative play remains a central feature.
The studio said it improved peer-to-peer connections on PC’s Steam platform to make multiplayer sessions more reliable, and reverted several experimental changes—returning more familiar mechanics to earlier levels where community feedback indicated they were preferred.
While these network improvements were noted for Steam, the update also includes an optimization specifically for Nintendo Switch 2, which Next Studios says delivers notable performance improvements for players on Nintendo’s new system.
In addition to level and stability updates, Version 2.0 alters the game’s ending and adds global statistics that reflect player achievements after completing the updated finale.
A trailer accompanying the announcement provides a closer look at the new puzzles and level revisions.
Players on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 can download the Version 2.0 update now.
Next Studios and Meta Publishing encourage players to continue providing feedback through official discussion channels so the teams can track and reproduce any remaining issues.
