The action RPG, originally developed by Quintet for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, will arrive in retail and digitally via the Nintendo eShop on 14 January 2027.

In Clear River Games' press materials, the publisher described the title as a story about Earth's resurrection driven by a young protagonist named Ark, and highlighted the game's acclaimed character design by manga artist Kamui Fujiwara.

For the Switch and Switch 2 releases, Clear River Games has implemented several quality-of-life improvements and a new Arranged Mode.
Arranged Mode includes multiple balance tweaks such as increased magic damage, a built-in mini map for easier navigation, and a save-anywhere feature.
Additional modern conveniences listed for the ports include a CRT filter, multiple aspect ratios to replicate the original presentation, a Quick Magic Button, Item Hot-Swap, customizable high-resolution background artwork, a Music Player, a Museum mode, a Rewind function, and fully remappable controls.
Artist Kamui Fujiwara contributed new key art and in-game designs and provided production feedback for the release.
