Big Fan Games and Auroch Digital have officially confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch 2, with a worldwide digital launch planned for 2026 on the Nintendo eShop.
The sequel continues the license's return to fast, arcade-style shooter action and brings the Warhammer 40,000 universe to Nintendo's next-generation platform.

Boltgun 2 drops players into an isolated star system where reports of rising Chaos activity draw two playable protagonists — Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath.
The pair confront Vashtorr the Arkifane, a demigod whose awakening of a vast daemonic machine triggers a catastrophic explosion that destroys much of the Imperial fleet.
Malum and Nyra must race across diverse worlds to cleanse the corruption powering Vashtorr’s machinations and attempt to banish the demigod back to the Warp.
