Bandai Namco has unveiled substantial downloadable content (DLC) updates for two of its flagship titles: Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, both set to enhance the Dragon Ball gaming experience on Nintendo Switch and the anticipated Switch 2 hardware this fall.
Set to launch in November 2024 alongside the release of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Bandai Namco has officially announced Dragon Ball Daima Character Pack 2—also known as DLC 3.
According to the company, this content pack will be available on other platforms starting September 24, expanding the fighter roster well beyond its already impressive 180 playable characters.
The Dragon Ball Daima Character Pack 2 is scheduled to add a formidable lineup of fan-favorite characters to the game.
These include Goku (Mini) Super Saiyan 4, Goku (Daima), Super Saiyan 4, Vegeta (Daima), Super Saiyan 3, Majin Duu, Third Eye Gomah, and Giant Gomah.
With this expansion, players on Switch and Switch 2 can look forward to even greater variety in competitive play and single-player battles, affirming Bandai Namco’s commitment to supporting its Dragon Ball titles post-launch.
Players will also benefit from the addition of the 'First Demon World' stage, which arrives as a free update alongside the DLC release.
In addition, Bandai Namco has implemented balance adjustments to improve overall game performance and fair play.
Details on these updates, including full patch notes, have been published on the official Bandai Namco website, providing transparency and insight for the community.
Alongside the Sparking! ZERO update, Bandai Namco offered new information about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
The publisher delivered a first look at the upcoming 'Future Saga Chapter 3' DLC, with a planned release imminent, followed by a fourth and final chapter.
This signals continued robust support for Xenoverse 2, a title that has maintained a strong presence on the Nintendo Switch eShop since its initial launch and continues to receive frequent content updates.
Bandai Namco’s ongoing efforts to expand the Dragon Ball game universe across both current and upcoming Nintendo platforms underscore the developer’s position as a leader in the industry.
As the November release window approaches, fans can look forward to deeper gameplay options, rich character lineups, and regular new content for both Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on Switch and the next-generation Switch 2.
