Bandai Namco Celebrates Ridge Racer Anniversary With Tokyo Live DJ Event and Remix Album

Bandai Namco is honoring the 30th anniversary of Rave Racer with a major event for longtime fans of its storied Ridge Racer series.

First released in arcades in 1995, Rave Racer remains a standout entry in the iconic franchise, which pioneered high-speed racing in the arcade era.

To mark three decades since Rave Racer’s debut, Bandai Namco has announced Ridge Racer Night 2025, a live celebration featuring prominent DJs and original contributors to the series’ legendary soundtrack. Set to take place at the T2 Shinjuku nightclub in Tokyo, Japan, on February 21, 2026, Ridge Racer Night 2025 promises an immersive experience for both game and music enthusiasts.

The event follows last year’s successful Ridge Racer gathering and continues Bandai Namco’s tradition of celebrating its classic racing IPs.

Attendees will have access to exclusive merchandise, including a special Ridge Racer Night 2025 remix CD and the option to purchase commemorative t-shirts.

The publisher’s Japanese online store, Asobi Store, is also offering a range of event souvenirs, expanding collector options for fans. A highlight of the anniversary festivities is the announcement of a Rave Racer 30th Anniversary remix album, set to begin pre-orders in November.

This album will feature reimagined tracks from the game’s celebrated soundtrack, which has played a significant role in shaping the unique identity of Ridge Racer titles across generations and platforms such as the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo eShop. According to a Famitsu report, Ridge Racer Night 2025 will include special appearances from beloved series mascot Reiko Nagase and Bandai Namco sound designer Junichi Funada.

The event lineup boasts performances from ten influential DJs and composers, including Shinji Hosoe, Ayako Saso, Nobuyoshi Sano, Takayuki Aihara, Hiroshi Okubo, Yuu Miyake, Ryo Watanabe, and Sho Okada, plus virtual DJ sets by DeLPi and KAZUMiX.

This star-studded roster reflects the franchise’s renowned musical heritage, blending electronic dance genres and gaming nostalgia. Notably, Hamster Co.

Ltd—the publisher behind the Arcade Archives series and the recent Ridge Racer reissues on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and Xbox platforms—is an official sponsor of the event.

Their involvement underscores the continued support for classic arcade titles on modern hardware, a trend that has resonated with retro and new fans via digital storefronts like the eShop. To further build excitement, Bandai Namco has released a promotional video for Ridge Racer Night 2025, capturing the energy and significance of the upcoming celebration.
