Arco for Nintendo Switch is set to receive an anticipated physical release, as announced today by publisher Lost in Cult.
The Mesoamerican fantasy RPG has already made an impression as a digital title on the Nintendo eShop, and its physical edition now brings new collectible options to fans and collectors alike.
Developed by the talented team of Franek Nowotniak, José Ramón “Bibiki” García, Antonio “Fayer” Uribe, and Max Cahill, and published by Panic, Arco invites players to explore a rich, enchanted depiction of Mesoamerica.
The game combines classic tactical role-playing mechanics with a distinctive 'simultaneous turn-based' combat system—providing a strategic challenge as players guide a quartet of unlikely heroes on their quest for revenge against the Red Company.
Arco stands out for its evocative pixel art visual style and a striking, Latin-inspired musical score composed by García, resulting in an audiovisual experience widely praised within indie game circles.
While Arco has already captivated audiences as a digital download, Lost in Cult is expanding its reach with two physical editions for the Nintendo Switch.
The standard version provides the base game in a dedicated cartridge package, while the special "Editions" bundle is strictly limited to 3,000 copies and brims with exclusive collectibles.
This deluxe set includes a 40-page booklet featuring insightful essays and a developer interview conducted by veteran game journalist Chris Tapsell, capturing the creative vision behind the game.
Collectors will also appreciate original slipcase artwork and alternative reversible cover art by illustrator Alariko, a special poster by Antoine Maillard, a custom color-themed inner slipcase marked with the edition's unique release number, a collector’s fold-out art poster with corresponding checklist and artist commentary, four handpicked art cards curated by the developers, and an individually numbered director’s authenticity card—each piece carefully designed to celebrate Arco’s artistic achievement.
Pre-orders for both the standalone and limited "Editions" packages are now open through Lost in Cult.
This marks a significant milestone for Arco, acknowledged for its innovative gameplay and thoughtful worldbuilding.
Since its original launch on Nintendo Switch via the eShop, Arco has drawn positive attention for revitalizing strategy RPG elements while embracing narrative depth rooted in Mesoamerican culture.
Fans interested in securing the limited edition are encouraged to act swiftly, as only a finite number of physical bundles are available.
