Anomalith, a third-person survival shooter developed by Winning Entertainment Group and published by FuRyu, has arrived on Nintendo Switch 2.
The publishers issued a launch trailer this week to mark the game's release and spotlight its blend of survival-horror mechanics, reality-bending level design, and deep character customization.
The title is available worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2 and listed through standard digital channels such as the Nintendo eShop.
Concept and premise
Anomalith places players in an alternate, fractured reality affected by spatial phenomena known as “Otherworlds.” Players assume the role of investigator Reona Minazuki, who awakens from a decade-long sleep inside an anomaly called the “Sarcophagus” and gains heightened sensitivity to those Otherworlds.
The game sets up a narrative in which Reona, alongside colleagues and commanding officers from the so-called Danger Zone Countermeasures Office, seeks to protect humanity and rescue a close friend.
Gameplay and systems
The developers describe Anomalith as combining third-person gunplay with survival-horror tension.
Combat features erratic, aggressive enemy behaviors, with mechanics that allow players to stun foes and finish them with melee takedowns.
Exploration leads through unsettling, liminal spaces—examples highlighted by the studio include environments like apartments with inverted gravity and looping trains.
Resource and inventory management are emphasized, and Reona can gain and upgrade a suite of active and passive powers through the game’s Demi-Humanization System.
Customization and progression
Anomalith offers extensive weapon and outfit customization.
The game includes a large roster of weapons, attachments, artifacts, and over 300 outfit items that can be equipped across nine character slots.
Players can also gather more than 200 investigation reports while navigating Otherworlds, unlocking narrative details and upgrades at the home base between missions.
Development team and credits
The project brings together notable talent: scenario lead Romeo Tanaka (Stella of the End, Humanity Has Declined), character designer MON (associated with Nisio Isin’s Legends series), and composer Yuka Kitamura, whose credits include Elden Ring, Sekiro, Bloodborne and Dark Souls III.
Winning Entertainment Group is the developer (formerly operating as Natsume Atari), with FuRyu serving as publisher.
Where to watch and buy
FuRyu and Winning Entertainment Group made the launch trailer available as part of the release announcement; the trailer can be viewed on the publisher’s official channels.
Anomalith is purchasable and downloadable on Nintendo Switch 2 via the Nintendo eShop.
