Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour Returns Nationwide in 2026 for Nintendo Switch Fans
The widely-adored Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour, inspired by the acclaimed Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, will make its return to the United States in 2026.
Beginning February 13, the tour will visit both new and select returning aquariums across the country, bringing beloved elements of the game to life through immersive, interactive experiences designed for fans and families.
The Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour provides attendees with a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons beyond the Nintendo Switch screen.
Visitors to participating aquariums can anticipate themed activities and an assortment of interactive features inspired by various aspects of the hit title.
Some of the announced tour activities include custom-designed photo opportunities featuring aquarium-themed backgrounds and popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters, as well as informative signage throughout the aquarium.
These displays, highlighted by the protective oversight of renowned museum curator Blathers, offer creature descriptions accompanied by facts taken directly from the Nintendo Switch game. Familiar faces from the Animal Crossing universe—such as Kapp’n, who makes his first-ever appearance on the aquarium tour—will appear as standees placed throughout the exhibits.
On select days, guests can participate in the Stamp Rally, where collecting themed stamps by locating various character standees earns attendees unique rewards.
Nintendo is also integrating the My Nintendo platform into the event.
Fans can check in at My Nintendo kiosks to instantly earn 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points, which are redeemable for exclusive digital and physical rewards via the My Nintendo website.
Additional limited-time opportunities will allow visitors to obtain Animal Crossing-themed patches (while supplies last), scan QR codes for downloadable mobile wallpapers, and even enjoy meet-and-greet sessions with favorite characters like Isabelle, Tom Nook, or K.K.

Select locations and days will feature playable demo stations, allowing new and returning players to try out the latest update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and preview the enhancements available in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The 2026 tour is scheduled to appear at a variety of key aquarium venues, including SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium (Florida), Birch Aquarium (California), SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium (Texas), and additional SEA LIFE locations in New Jersey, Michigan, Minnesota, San Antonio, Arizona, North Carolina, and Missouri.
