007 First Light Announced for Nintendo Switch 2: IO Interactive Delivers New James Bond Adventure in 2026

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have officially unveiled 007 First Light, an ambitious new entry in the James Bond video game franchise, currently in development for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.

This announcement marks a notable milestone for the James Bond brand, as it prepares for a fresh start on Nintendo’s next-generation hardware. 007 First Light invites players to step into the shoes of a young James Bond, charting his early days at MI6.

For the first time in the series’ history, fans will experience Bond’s evolution from a talented 26-year-old Royal Navy air crewman, known for his daring instincts and combat valor, to a distinguished member of the legendary 00 section.

The game promises to deliver a deeply narrative-driven, third-person action-adventure journey, set against the glamorous and perilous backdrop of global espionage so iconic to the film franchise. Throughout the adventure, players will navigate a globe-trotting mission filled with high-stakes encounters, forging alliances and facing formidable enemies.
