Nintendo, in partnership with acclaimed music publisher Laced Records, has officially announced a forthcoming vinyl soundtrack release for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
This collector’s edition will be released on June 19, 2026, offering fans of the critically acclaimed adventure title new ways to experience its celebrated musical score.
As one of the flagship titles for the Nintendo Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild continues to leave a remarkable legacy in both gaming and sound design, and this vinyl collaboration marks a significant milestone for fans and collectors alike.
The partnership between Nintendo and Laced Records brings two major vinyl editions to market: a deluxe double LP set featuring 34 curated tracks, and an expansive 8-LP box set comprising 130 newly remastered tracks.
Both sets will be available as limited-edition colored vinyl and as standard black vinyl editions, giving fans multiple options to celebrate the distinctive music of Hyrule on their format of choice.
The limited-edition colored collections can be pre-ordered now on the My Nintendo Store and directly from Laced Records, with additional availability in select Nintendo retail locations—including Nintendo NEW YORK and Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO.
Each vinyl edition showcases the meticulous craftsmanship that has defined Nintendo’s legacy.
The double-LP set features striking blue-and-white marbled heavyweight discs, presented in a wide-spined outer sleeve and accompanied by a printed inner sleeve adorned with artwork from the original development team.
The flagship 8-LP box set stands out with alternative blue and gold splatter effect heavyweight discs, printed inner sleeves, and a robust dual slipcase design, making it a true collector’s centerpiece.
While the limited-edition colored variants will be available exclusively through official channels and in limited quantities, the classic black vinyl editions will reach select retailers, allowing more fans to own this piece of Nintendo history.
Musically, the 8-LP box set is an ambitious endeavor, offering listeners 130 tracks organized around thematic journeys that parallel players’ experiences in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Each LP within the set is sequenced to evoke key facets of Link’s adventure: exploring the vast kingdom of Hyrule, liberating the Divine Beasts from Calamity Ganon, and uncovering the enigmatic Shrines scattered across the land.
The double-LP edition, meanwhile, distills the game’s musical essence into 34 signature pieces, including beloved cues such as "Overworld (Day)," "Great Fairy Fountain," and "Hyrule Castle," each meticulously selected to immerse fans in the atmosphere of the final stand against the Great Calamity.
This release marks one of the first times a major Nintendo game soundtrack will be available on vinyl outside Japan—an important moment for both the publisher and collectors worldwide.
The music, initially composed by Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, Hajime Wakai, and Soshi Abe, is widely applauded for its innovative blend of gentle piano lines, intense battle motifs, and the unique, electronic textures linked to Sheikah technology.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold millions of copies globally since its launch and is available on both the Nintendo Switch and its successor, Switch 2.
As Nintendo continues to celebrate the franchise’s enduring popularity, this deluxe soundtrack release stands as a tribute to the artistry that helped redefine open-world games and set new standards for video game music.
