Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Launches Soundtrack Streaming and Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders

Square Enix has officially announced that the acclaimed Final Fantasy VII Rebirth soundtrack is now accessible for streaming on popular music platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.

This move signifies a major milestone for fans, granting unparalleled access to the expansive audio experience that accompanies the highly anticipated RPG. Winner of the Best Score and Music category at The Game Awards 2024, the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth soundtrack features more than 170 tracks.

According to Square Enix, this collection plays a crucial role in immersing players within the game’s sprawling environments, action-packed battles, and cinematic storylines. In addition, Square Enix has opened pre-orders for the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Original Soundtrack Plus.

Scheduled for release as a 5-CD set on April 1, 2026, this special edition includes in-game background music not present on the previous Original Soundtrack, Special Edit Version, or the Gold Saucer & Minigame Disc.

This expanded package is tailored for collectors and series enthusiasts eager to experience every piece of the game’s musical tapestry. The company also confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3, 2026, continuing the saga from where Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade left off.

Players will once again guide ex-SOLDIER Cloud Strife and his companions as they venture beyond Midgar and explore a richly detailed world. The Nintendo Switch 2 port will include the Streamlined Progression feature, first introduced in Remake Intergrade.

This system allows for features such as unlimited MP and HP, a constantly filled limit and ATB gauge, maximum damage capability, and simplified weapon ability acquisition.

Square Enix states these enhancements are designed to "streamline gameplay and allow players to focus on the story and hybrid combat." Digital pre-orders for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are now live on the Nintendo eShop, offering a 20 percent discount until June 2, 2026.

Customers who opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive exclusive in-game bonuses, such as the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia, Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia, Shinra Bangle Mk.

II, Midgar Bangle Mk.

II, and standard Digital Deluxe rewards including the Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Reclaimant Choker, Orchid Bracelet, a digital artbook, and a mini-soundtrack. For fans purchasing the physical copy, a limited supply of Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy Zack Fair cards featuring variant artwork by Tetsuya Nomura will be available as a bonus. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set for a simultaneous global release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3, 2026.
