Description

WWE 2K25 finally arrives on Nintendo Switch 2, offering fans the opportunity to take the wrestling action on the go courtesy of 2K’s long-running franchise.

While early impressions suggest it is a well-optimized and visually impressive port for Nintendo’s latest hardware, one notable omission has caught the attention of the wrestling game community: the lack of support for Community Creations and the image uploader. Released on all major platforms, WWE 2K25 continues the series’ tradition of extensive customization, allowing players to design their own wrestlers, arenas, and more.

However, in a press release, publisher 2K confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will not include cross-platform Community Creations—a key feature that lets players share custom content across the WWE 2K player base.

Additionally, the image uploader, which is essential for importing custom logos and wrestler likenesses, is not available on this platform either. "At this time, players on Nintendo Switch 2 will not have access to cross-platform Community Creations or the image uploader," 2K stated in their official communication.

Both features remain available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC, making the absence in the Nintendo Switch 2 edition particularly conspicuous.

This decision means Switch 2 players are unable to download or share custom arenas and CAWs (Create-A-Wrestler) created by other users—a major element of WWE 2K’s replayability and community engagement on other platforms. While 2K has not provided a detailed explanation for this exclusion, the omission is especially notable given that similar features were present in previous Nintendo versions, including WWE 2K18 on the original Switch.

As the functionality runs smoothly even on older consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, technical limitations seem unlikely to be the primary reason. WWE 2K25 launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on schedule alongside its release on other systems, and the game is now available for purchase via the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop and at retail locations.

The Switch 2 port includes the full suite of core game modes and updated rosters, but users will need to manage without access to Community Creations for now.

As with previous installments, Switch owners can enjoy robust single-player and local multiplayer offerings, but those hoping for shared, user-generated content will be disappointed.
