The Complete Edition brings the action RPG, its downloadable expansions, and new endgame content to Nintendo’s next-generation handheld-home hybrid.
Background and sales
First released in March 2023, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an action RPG developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo.
The game has sold more than one million copies worldwide since its launch.
Set in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty, the title follows a nameless militia soldier who must survive as demons ravage the Three Kingdoms.
Combat blends swordplay inspired by Chinese martial arts with challenging encounters against monsters and enemy soldiers.
Complete Edition contents
The Complete Edition collects the base game and three major downloadable content scenarios: Battle of Zhongyuan, Conqueror of Jiangdong, and Upheaval in Jingxiang.
It also includes new endgame content titled The Thousand-Mile Journey.
Collaborative DLC from other studios is bundled as well, adding equipment and stages drawn from Nioh 2, Naraka: Bladepoint, and Lies of P.
Included items and Switch 2 exclusives
The package retains in-game items that were part of the original release: Baihu Armour, Zhuque Armour, and Qinglong Armour, and The Records of the Grand Historian — an item that displays the locations of Marking Flags on the mini-map.
The Nintendo Switch 2 port will also feature a platform-exclusive Xuanwu Armour set.
That exclusive equipment will be available for a limited period from Wednesday 2 September to Wednesday 30 September 2026 and can be claimed from Deliveries in the Battle Flag menu after applying the launch-day patch.
Publisher notes and player progression
Team Ninja frames player progression as an internal journey: players must cultivate and unlock inner strength to meet the game’s higher challenges.
That emphasis on growth and mastery is reflected across the Complete Edition’s expanded content and the addition of late-game material.
Availability
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is confirmed for digital release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 on 3 September 2026.
