WarioWare: Move It! Brings Hilarious Microgame Action to Nintendo Switch The iconic WarioWare franchise returns with WarioWare: Move It!, a vibrant party game packed with lightning-fast microgames and physical, motion-based challenges.

Developed by Nintendo and following the legacy of the beloved WarioWare: Smooth Moves from the Wii era, Move It! launches worldwide on November 3, 2023, both physically and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.

The title promises to captivate both longtime series fans and newcomers with its playful chaos, frantic pace, and distinctive style of humor. A Spiritual Successor to WarioWare: Smooth Moves Originally debuting in 2007, WarioWare: Smooth Moves introduced unique motion controls to the series.

Sixteen years later, WarioWare: Move It! brings this kinetic gameplay philosophy to the Nintendo Switch, harnessing the console’s versatile Joy-Con controllers.

The game’s announcement and subsequent in-depth reveals during September’s Nintendo Direct highlighted its focus on multiplayer fun, tropical-themed settings, and inventive new challenges. Expanding on its predecessor’s formula, Move It! serves as a party-centric adventure that tasks players with tackling over 200 unique microgames.

Each challenge requires quick reflexes and demands that players strike different poses or "forms" using the Joy-Con, ranging from the physically demanding Squat to the delightfully odd Ba-KAW, which turns your controller into an imaginary beak and tail.

These exaggerated movements are designed to provoke laughter while testing players’ agility—with the only hint about upcoming microgames being the specific stance assumed before each round. Modes for Every Party and Fan Favorite Returns WarioWare: Move It! offers a robust selection of gameplay modes.

In Story Mode, up to two players can partner up to conquer character-driven microgame runs.

Meanwhile, Party Mode supports up to four players in Galactic Conquest, a board-game competition evoking the unpredictable energy of Mario Party.

The Museum mode lets up to four players revisit unlocked microgames and fine-tune their high scores. Fan-favorite character 9-Volt makes a much-anticipated return, bringing with him a suite of retro-inspired microgames.

Highlights include joyfully shaking a Joy-Con to mimic Mario’s raccoon tail in a Super Mario Bros.

3 homage, with additional microgames inspired by classics like Super Mario 64 DS and Pikmin.

These cleverly integrated titles were showcased during recent Nintendo Direct presentations, sparking excitement among the gaming community. Nintendo Switch: The Premier Platform for Party Gaming Notably, the game’s escalating speed settings allow players to ramp microgame difficulty from Normal to Super Fast, dialing up tension and hilarity in equal measure.

The unpredictability of each challenge—combined with WarioWare’s enduring mischievous flair—ensures the experience remains fresh and addictive. WarioWare: Move It! continues to reinforce the Nintendo Switch’s reputation as the premier system for accessible multiplayer entertainment.

Arriving just over a week after the launch of Super Mario Bros.

Wonder, the game further bolsters Nintendo’s robust holiday 2023 lineup.

Whether for long-time fans or newcomers, WarioWare: Move It! is positioned as a must-have for group gatherings and multiplayer fun. WarioWare: Move It! will be available globally for Nintendo Switch on November 3, 2023, via retail and the Nintendo eShop.

With over 200 microgames and a range of multiplayer modes, it’s set to join the ranks of essential party games on the platform.
