poncle has announced a major rebranding and content roadmap for Vampire Survivors, including the introduction of a new “Survivaton” label, the formal renaming of the original game to Vampire Survivors: First Survivaton, a Steam Patch 1.15 update, and plans for a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
The studio also confirmed a sizable expansion pack, Legacy of the Bloodmoon, and the creation of a dedicated Japanese subsidiary, poncle Japan.
Background and rebranding
Vampire Survivors, poncle’s breakout title, will now sit at the head of a new family of projects called Survivaton. poncle describes Survivaton as shorthand for “survive a ton”: an umbrella for internally developed, survivors-style games that expand the core loop with major gameplay changes, content expansions, or genre twists substantial enough to stand as distinct releases.
In line with that strategy, the original game will be renamed Vampire Survivors: First Survivaton to mark its foundational role.
Patch 1.15 and platform timing
poncle has released Patch 1.15 on Steam, a free update that adds a new stage, new characters, new weapons, and new Darkanas.
The studio said the same patch will arrive on other platforms later in the month, citing platform-specific optimizations and differences in save-slot management as the reason for staggered rollout.
The company also confirmed development of a Nintendo Switch 2 version promising improved performance and mouse support compared with current Switch hardware.
Legacy of the Bloodmoon expansion
Vampire Survivors: First Survivaton will receive a paid expansion titled Legacy of the Bloodmoon, expected this summer on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch (via the eShop), and mobile platforms. poncle outlined the expansion’s scope: 10 new characters, more than 16 new weapons and evolutions, a new XL stage, and eight additional music tracks.
At the same time, poncle plans to add content to the earlier Legacy of the Moonspell expansion and to permanently reduce that expansion’s price so both packs deliver comparable value.
poncle Japan and regional strategy
To support growth in Asia, poncle is establishing poncle Japan, led by Sawaki Takeyasu.
The subsidiary will focus on localized development efforts, partnerships, and outreach to Japanese players and creators, reinforcing the studio’s global ambitions.
For players tracking updates, poncle has centralized information at its site, and the Steam page lists the Patch 1.15 changes now available.
The Survivaton label marks a deliberate shift toward multiple, distinct survivors-style releases built from the Vampire Survivors foundation.
