My Mario Series Arrives in the U.S.: Nintendo Expands Mario Experiences for Families on Switch and Beyond

Nintendo is set to expand its celebrated family of character-driven experiences with the U.S.

launch of the My Mario series.

Following an initial debut in Japan, the My Mario series will roll out to American audiences starting February 19, 2024, offering parents and children an array of interactive products, games, and apparel designed to immerse young fans in the whimsical world of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi. Kicking off at Nintendo’s flagship NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO retail locations, the My Mario collection will be available from February 19.

Wider national availability at select retailers is planned for this spring, with further expansion slated throughout the year.

The initiative underscores Nintendo of America’s commitment to fostering creative play and shared discovery between kids and their caregivers using beloved Super Mario characters. Developed in collaboration with esteemed partners such as Mattel Fisher-Price and TOMY, the My Mario series encompasses a diverse range of offerings.

Each item is thoughtfully designed as an engaging introduction to the rich, creative world of Super Mario, tailored especially for children and their families. Among the highlights of the My Mario series are two wooden block sets that feature iconic imagery from the Super Mario franchise: the compact Mario Wood Block Set (3 pieces) and the expansive Mario & Friends Wood Block Set (30 pieces).

Both sets encourage imaginative play and help young children become familiar with classic Nintendo elements. Technology also plays a central role in the My Mario experience.

The Hello, Mario! app will be available as a free download for smart devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play, as well as on Nintendo Switch systems (and compatible with Nintendo Switch 2), beginning February 19.

With its intuitive, playful interface, the app empowers children, parents, and caregivers to interact with Mario through a range of engaging digital experiences.

Nintendo’s commitment to accessibility ensures the app is readily available through the Nintendo eShop. Further enriching the franchise is a new stop-motion animation series, “It’s Me, Mario!,” which can be viewed on the official My Mario website and through the Play Nintendo YouTube channel.

In addition, the My Mario series introduces a line of infant and toddler apparel, ranging from soft onesies and sleepers to playful outfits that capture the fun of Mario’s adventures. Reading and hands-on experiences are also integral to the collection, with an interactive "Hello, Mario!" board book published by Penguin Random House, as well as a selection of plush toys and rattles inspired by Mario himself.

Young fans will also find joy in the Tomy Toomies My Mario bath toy collection, which introduces character-themed bath toys and water squirters from the Super Mario universe. By collaborating with trusted partners and harnessing innovative technology, Nintendo reaffirms its legacy of creating imaginative, child-friendly products with lasting appeal.
