Nintendo of America’s weekly bulletin highlights Square Enix’s FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH for Nintendo Switch 2, Konami’s eFootball Kick-Off!, the addition of Donkey Kong 64 to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, and a slate of indie sale deadlines and new eShop arrivals.
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH on Nintendo Switch 2
Square Enix’s FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is available now on the Nintendo Switch 2 system.
The developer positions this installment as the second entry in the remake saga, expanding Cloud Strife’s journey beyond Midgar as the party searches for Sephiroth.
Players can expect open-world traversal including chocobo riding and new encounters across sweeping plains, consistent with Square Enix’s description of a broadened scope for exploration and storytelling.
eFootball Kick-Off! arrives on Nintendo Switch 2
Konami’s eFootball Kick-Off! is also out now on Nintendo Switch 2.
The publisher describes the title as a flexible soccer experience for solo and multiplayer play, featuring club creation and World Tour and International Cup modes.
The game includes six-a-side match options aimed at newer players and a rank-based system to track competitive progression.
Classic additions and Nintendo Music updates
Donkey Kong 64, originally released for Nintendo 64 in 1999 by Rare and published by Nintendo, is now available through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
The platform offering restores the N64 action-platformer and local four-player arenas for subscribers.
Nintendo Music has expanded device support to include computers, tablets, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and introduced a My Mix playlist feature (not available in web browsers).
New soundtrack additions include selections from Mario Kart World and the Pikmin series, with Mario Kart World tracks like Mario Bros.
Circuit and Peach Beach added to the service.
