Nintendo Download: Bandit Trap Arrives on Nintendo Switch 2, Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains Launches June 10

Nintendo’s weekly eShop update — the Nintendo Download — brings a mix of new releases, music additions, and limited-time events across Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2. This week’s highlights include the multiplayer brawler Bandit Trap on Nintendo Switch 2, the family-focused Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains (available June 10 on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2), fresh tracks added to the Nintendo Music app, and the Tetris 99 53rd MAXIMUS CUP event. Bandit Trap (Nintendo Switch 2) Nintendo describes Bandit Trap as a physics-driven 1v3 online multiplayer brawler that combines strategic setup with chaotic, slapstick gameplay. The publisher positions the game as a family-friendly, replayable experience in which one player defends a location while three others attempt to infiltrate using tools, traps and improvisation. Bandit Trap is available later today on Nintendo Switch 2 via the Nintendo eShop. Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains (Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2) Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains retools the classic board game into team-based matchups set across iconic Star Wars locations. Nintendo’s announcement emphasizes team composition, character-specific abilities, and dynamic matches that vary by roster. The title is available for pre-order now on the Nintendo eShop and will launch on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 10. Pre-orders include two exclusive in-game dice skins inspired by Jawa and Clone Trooper designs. Nintendo Music additions Nintendo has added new tracks to the Nintendo Music app. “Topspin Tunes” brings selections from Mario Tennis Aces, including tracks such as "Marina Stadium" and "Bask Ruins." A new track from Super Mario Galaxy 2 has also been added under the collection titled Galactic Groove. Both music updates are available through the Nintendo Music section for subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online where applicable. Tetris 99 53rd MAXIMUS CUP (Nintendo Switch Online) The Tetris 99 53rd MAXIMUS CUP runs from May 1 at 12:00 a.m. PT through May 4 at 11:59 p.m. PT. During the event, Nintendo Switch Online members who play Tetris 99 can earn 100 event points to unlock a new in-game theme featuring art, music, and Tetrimino designs inspired by Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
