Nintendo’s latest eShop update brings a mix of high-profile releases, free updates and seasonal promotions to Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2 hardware.
Leading the pack is Star Fox, a cinematic reimagining of Star Fox 64 that arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 with a free demo available now on the Nintendo eShop.
Nintendo presents the title with overhauled character designs, redesigned stages, fully voiced cutscenes and an orchestral score, and the release includes new modes such as online multiplayer.
DELTARUNE Chapter 5 — from indie developer Toby Fox, creator of UNDERTALE — is available as a free update on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
The chapter continues DELTARUNE’s parallel storyline to UNDERTALE, offering the series’ combination of turn-based encounters and narrative-driven exploration alongside its established cast.
Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch 2.
The release brings the series’ signature fast-paced action and includes additional downloadable content, including Vergil as a playable character.
According to the announcement, the Switch 2 edition targets 60 frames per second in both TV and handheld modes.
Nintendo Music additions and timed events
Nintendo Music has added the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment soundtrack, featuring tracks such as “The Unknown Abyss” and “Battle for the Forest.” New curated playlists for modern takes on Nintendo 64 classics and a Nintendo 64 Selects playlist are also available.
Timed in-game events include a Jirachi Wish event in Pokémon Pokopia running through July 8 at 4:59 a.m. local time, and the Tetris 99 55th MAXIMUS CUP, which runs from July 10 to July 13 (12 a.m.
