Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Download update confirms a busy week for Nintendo eShop on both Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2, with major releases, trial windows and sales rolling out across the platforms.
Key releases and pre-orders
- EA SPORTS FC 27 (Electronic Arts) launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on Sept. 25, and is available for pre-order now on Nintendo eShop.
Nintendo’s release notes describe a new social hub called The Grounds where players can take part in casual Kickabouts, 1v1s and team up in Clubs.
The announcement also highlights gameplay refinements such as dynamic corners, enhanced attacking awareness and player-focused defending intended for competitive play.
An Ultimate Edition is available that includes early access, a Season 1 Premium Pass and additional in-game bonuses.
- Minecraft Dungeons II is scheduled to launch Sept. 29 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, with pre-orders open on Nintendo eShop.
The sequel returns players to the action-RPG world of Minecraft Dungeons with new locations and high-stakes encounters.
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered (CD Projekt Red) arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 Sept. 29 and is available for pre-order on Nintendo eShop.
Nintendo notes visual, performance and gameplay enhancements for the remastered edition, plus support for gyro aiming, Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and touch screen features.
Players who own the physical or digital Nintendo Switch edition can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version for free via Nintendo eShop.
CD Projekt Red has also listed a paid expansion, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past, for 2027 and it can be wishlisted on Nintendo eShop now.

- Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is available as a full-game trial for Nintendo Switch Online members from Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.
