Nintendo eShop Update: Herdling, Shantae Advance, and Chibi-Robo! Arrive on Switch and Switch 2

Nintendo has delivered a robust lineup for this week’s Nintendo eShop update, welcoming new adventures and returning classics to both the Nintendo Switch and the recently launched Nintendo Switch 2.

The update continues Nintendo’s commitment to enriching its digital platforms with a diverse selection of games, classic titles, and exclusive digital content for its expanding global community. New Releases on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 Launching today, 'Herdling' leads the eShop’s new arrivals.

In this original adventure game, players join a herd of charming creatures called Calicorns on a high-altitude journey fraught with danger and intrigue.

Herdling is designed as an emotional tale of trust and survival, with players navigating mysterious mountain paths and forging bonds with their loyal companions.

The game is available now on Nintendo Switch. Another highly anticipated release is 'Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution.' Developed by WayForward, this action-platformer revives the beloved Half-Genie Shantae in an authentic retro adventure previously left unfinished for over two decades.

Shantae Advance features fan-favorite hair-whipping and belly-dancing mechanics, expansive areas with multiple towns and labyrinths, six different creature transformations, and dynamic boss battles.

Notably, the game introduces a mechanic allowing players to shift between foreground and background layers, fostering new ways to explore each environment.

"We've brought together what fans loved about the original and added fresh gameplay twists," the developer stated in a recent announcement.

Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution is now available on Nintendo Switch. Classics Return: Chibi-Robo! for Nintendo Switch 2 Fans of the Nintendo GameCube era will be pleased to see 'Chibi-Robo!' make its debut on Nintendo Switch 2 for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

Originally released in 2006, Chibi-Robo! puts players in charge of a tiny but resourceful household robot as he collects Happy Points, earns Moolah, and unravels the mysteries of the Sanderson family home.

The game’s blend of heartfelt storytelling and unique mechanics established it as a cult classic, and its arrival on Switch 2 ensures a new generation of players can experience its charm. Nintendo Music and Kirby’s Starry Sweepstakes Music lovers can experience a preview of the upcoming 'Kirby Air Riders' game, set for release on November 20.

Nintendo Music now features seven tracks from the game, including two versions of 'Starlit Journey,' available to stream via Nintendo Switch Online.

Additionally, the My Nintendo Kirby’s Starry Sweepstakes has opened, offering fans the opportunity to win exclusive Kirby-themed prizes through My Nintendo rewards.
