Resident Evil Requiem 'The Dive' Arrives at Universal Studios Japan for Halloween Horror Nights 2026

Capcom has confirmed a limited-time Resident Evil Requiem attraction at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) for Halloween Horror Nights 2026.

The experience, titled “The Dive,” will run from September 11, 2026 through December 27, 2026 as part of USJ’s seasonal Halloween lineup — an event series adapted from the Halloween Horror Nights concept used at Universal parks in the United States.

The collaboration was announced on Capcom’s official social channels, with promotional material and a press release describing the attraction as a horror maze built around the world of Resident Evil Requiem.

In its statement, Capcom painted a picture of a high-intensity, immersive maze in which visitors are pursued by a grotesque creature and subjected to sudden attacks from multiple directions.

The company said the attraction aims to generate sustained tension and shock, delivering a relentless, sensory horror experience where guests must navigate confined spaces under constant threat.

Capcom’s description echoes the company’s previous forays into immersive promotions.

Nearly ten years ago, Capcom staged a London event called “Resident Evil 7 – The Experience,” which used actors and escape-room style scenarios to recreate the Baker Residence and challenge participants to escape.

Japan has also hosted a number of video-game themed, escape-room and live-attraction events in recent years, making themed attractions a growing part of how Japanese audiences interact with major game franchises.

The Dive represents another example of how Capcom leverages its IP beyond console and PC releases.

The Resident Evil series has appeared across modern platforms, including ports and compilations on Nintendo Switch, and Capcom continues to extend the franchise into live entertainment with partners like Universal Studios Japan.

Practical details released so far are limited to dates and the attraction’s inclusion in USJ’s Halloween Horror Nights program; Capcom’s announcement and USJ promotional materials are the current primary sources for the event.

Fans planning to attend should monitor official Capcom and Universal Studios Japan channels for ticketing, scheduling, and safety guidelines as USJ typically publishes operational details closer to event openings.
