Hello Kitty Island Adventure Launches Under the Sea Event on Nintendo Switch, Major Update Incoming

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Under the Sea Event Now Available on Nintendo Switch, Major Update on the Horizon Nintendo Switch players can dive into summer with Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s newest seasonal event, the Under the Sea celebration.

Developed by Sunblink in collaboration with Sanrio, Hello Kitty Island Adventure launched on Nintendo's eShop, quickly drawing in fans with its charm, cooperative gameplay, and robust customization options.

Now, with the latest event, Switch owners have even more reasons to return to the island paradise with their friends and favorite Sanrio characters. The Under the Sea celebration is now live, offering a range of decorative furniture and wearable items that reflect aquatic and mermaid-inspired themes.

This limited-time event invites players to explore the island’s shores and collect shimmering Mermaid Scales, which act as in-game currency for the current event’s exclusive content.

Players have until July 3 to amass Mermaid Scales and exchange them at Small Gift, Big Smile and the newly-introduced event stand for Reef and Under the Sea-themed furniture and décor, as well as a collection of on-brand apparel, accessories, and even new scuba gear available at Tuxedo Sam’s clothing shop. To participate, players simply search for glimmering bubbles along the island’s beaches, step inside to gather rewards, and visit the event stands to spend their hard-earned seashells.

While some items are priced on the higher end—such as the eye-catching Under the Sea Lamp, which requires 150 seashells, 1 Mermaid Scale, and 13 Sparks—most event stand offerings are more accessible, ranging from 5 to 30 Mermaid Scales.

The most premium event reward, the Under the Sea Aquarium, can be obtained for 30 Mermaid Scales. Alongside the ongoing event, Switch players can now anticipate the launch of 'The Biggest Challenge' update.

This major content release has already premiered for Apple Arcade users, and will soon debut on Nintendo Switch.

Centered on fulfilling 'Big Challenges’' dream of ascending Icy Peak, this update promises new quests and gameplay content to further enrich the beloved adventure experience.

While Sunblink has not confirmed the exact Nintendo Switch release date for The Biggest Challenge, fans are encouraged to stay tuned for additional updates as more information becomes available.
