The announcement was made during the team’s 5th anniversary livestream and coincides with the game receiving an "Offline Play" feature on the same date.
Riders Republic originally launched on October 28, 2021, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Since release, Ubisoft Annecy and publisher Ubisoft have supported the title with multiple updates that expanded events, modes and player progression.
The game is widely known for its large open-world playground built around a stylized take on several iconic American national parks.
In the anniversary livestream, Ubisoft summarized what the Switch 2 edition aims to deliver: Riders Republic is a massive multiplayer open world centered on extreme sports across America’s national parks.
Players will be able to take part in bike races, snow park activities and wingsuit racing across locations inspired by Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley and Mammoth Mountain.
The studio emphasized both solo and squad gameplay, as well as large-scale PvP races that support more than 50 players simultaneously.
